Anthony F Balinger – Co
Founder & Director |
A Fellow of
the Hong Kong Institute of Directors., Mr. Balinger is a
seasoned telecom professional with 30 years experience in the
telecommunications industry. Mr. Balinger commenced his career
with British Telecom where he spent 13 years as a Digital
Design engineer. Thereafter he joined Cable & Wireless as
a project engineer for Mercury Communications. Transferring to
commercial, he headed Mercury’s City of London support
services. In 1989 he was subsequently transferred to New York
to head Cable and Wireless NA’s Banking and Finance
division. Thereafter C&W loaned Mr. Balinger to OPTUS
communications of Australia where he headed the International
Products division. In 1993 he joined Executive TeleCard Ltd.,
a North American Public company listed on NASDAQ,
as Director of Asia Pacific. In 1995 he joined the Board of
Directors of the company. Mr. Balinger went on to serve as
Chief Executive and President before finally retiring as Vice
Chairman of the Company in 1999. |

Miguel Rocha – Co Founder
& Director |
Mr. Rocha has been in the
telecommunications industry for 24 years. Mr. Rocha started
his career with Cable and Wireless. In the early years he
transitioned several disciplines engineering, customer
services and sales giving him a broad perspective in the
company’s business. He served as a senior manager in the
Private Networks division. This was a high profile department
responsible for the development of global corporate networks.
In this capacity he traveled extensively meeting with overseas
corporations as well as other operating companies in the Cable
and Wireless group. In 1995 Mr. Rocha joined Executive
TeleCard Ltd. Working closely with Mr. Balinger - Mr. Rocha
assumed the role of Vice President Asia Pacific Region. Also,
in 1995 Rocha and Balinger founded ECS. |

Roy Olmstead –
Founder Director TAS |
Mr. Olmsted is a Canadian
citizen with an extensive 28 year history in the computer
industry. He has held various positions in technical and
management positions with Univac (now Unisys), Hewlett
Packard and Tandem Computers. Mr. Olmsted spent 12 years of
his career in Central America, South America and thereafter
in the Pacific Rim in the capacity of Managing Director of
North Asia. He comprehensively expanded Tandem's Asian
business and raised revenues from US$1.5m to US$20m before
leaving Tandem in 1993 to launch TAS. In 1998 Mr. Olmsted
left Hong Kong to rejoin his family in Canada. Currently he
is Vice President Business Development for SpeechLink Inc. a
publicly traded North American company on NASDAQ.
Peter J.
Francis - Director ECS
Bachelor of
Science graduate in mathematics and physics with post
graduate studies in law and accountancy. Peter has spent
over 25 years in the merchant banking and corporate finance
industry where he has been involved in numerous takeovers,
mergers and acquisitions, start ups and public company
floatation's within Australasia and Asia.
Edmund Hui - Director
WorldRemind HK
Bachelor of
Computing Science from the National University of Singapore and
an MBA from California
State University, Edmund is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive
Officer of WorldRemind.com based in Singapore. Previously he has
worked with IBM and with Legacee Corporate Services Inc., as an
IT consultant. In establishing WorldRemind.Com Edmund has worked
closely with the National Science and Technology Board (NSTB) in
California and the Singapore American Business Association (SABA).

Joseph Sin – Chief
Operating Officer ECS
|
Mr. Sin started his career
in 1980 working in Hong Kong Telecom. He remained with the
company for 14 years holding a range of management roles in
sales and customer services related activities. Prior to
departing Hong Kong Telecom, Mr. Sin worked in Sales Account
Management dealing with the SME markets of Hong Kong. In
1995 Mr. Sin joined TAS as head of operations reporting
directly to Mr. Olmsted, the then CEO of TAS. In 1999 he
joined the Board of Directors acquiring a 20% ownership in
the company prior to its acquisition by ECS. Subsequent to
the ECS acquisition Mr. Sin was appointed Chief Operating
Officer of ECS. In this capacity, he is General Manager for
all ECS subsidiary companies. Mr. Sin is also a Director of
TAS Ltd.

Calinda Chin – Director Business Development ECS |
Bachelor Social Science graduate of
Hong Kong University, Ms. Chin, commenced her
professional career in 1993 focusing in the field of I.T.
Marketing, and initially worked for Infrasys - an Epson
company, responsible for product marketing and market
communications. After 3 years she joined JOS Technology
Group, a subsidiary of Jardine Pacific, as Corporate
Planning Executive, specialized in PR and customer services
enhancement. Ms. Chin was awarded a scholarship for
professional excellence from Hang Seng Bank and the
University of Birmingham (UK) where she subsequently studied
during 1997-1998 and attained an MBA in International
Business with Honors. Upon her return to Hong Kong, she
joined the management team of ECS as Director of Business
Development and is also a Director of ShopSmart.Com Limited.

Edmund
Lo – Director Engineering ECS |
Mr. Lo started his career
with Cable & Wireless in 1981. He spent ten years on
type approval of third party equipment interconnectivity
with Hong Kong Telecom’s various digital exchanges. During
this time Mr. Lo became highly involved in new equipment
evaluation and development for both vendors and in-house
use. In 1992 he changed roles and was appointed head of LAN
& application development for the Hong Kong Telecom 200+
sales team. Three years later he started his own system
integration business. Mr Lo is an expert engineer with
extensive experience in building LAN & WAN which include
IP based voice and data communications over the networks. In
addition he has developed a profound knowledge in software
application developments using C/C++, Visual Basic, HTML.

Finas Chan –
Controller Finance ECS |
Ms. Chan started her career
in the field of Accounting in late 1980. From her
professional experience, she worked in various business
fields including trading, manufacturing and servicing
industry. Additional to her work experience, she has taken
various value-added studies in order to meet the on-going
market demands of professional Accountants. She completed
her professional training of Accounting from HK Polytechnic
in 1993 and subsequently attained an Honors Degree in
Business Administration from Bolton Institute (UK) in 1998.
Over her 20 years of business, Ms. Chan has built up a solid
background in accounting, costing, financial analysis and
management assignment. Ms. Chan joined ECS through the
Telecom One acquisition and is a member of ECS senior
management team.
